GENERAL COMMENTS:

It was a mixed day for the livestock complex as the cattle contracts closed
higher, but the lean hog contracts struggled amid some technical resistance.
Still no cash cattle trade has developed. May corn is down 15 cents per bushel
and May soybean meal is up $3.50. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 300.03
points and NASDAQ is up 95.19 points.
